Prison COVID changes effective July 11, 2021
Effective July 11, 2021, the Perry County Prison will be operating in the same manner as prior to the pandemic.
Be advised that effective July 11, 2021, the following will apply:
- Masks will no longer be required to be worn by employees and inmates.
- Masks will be made available to anyone who requests to wear a mask.
- Inmate visits will be permitted and virtual visits will no longer be made available unless approved by the Warden.
- Work release will be available for qualified inmates.
- In person attorney visits will be permitted.
- In person visits with various approved outside service providers will be permitted.
The Perry County Prison strongly recommends that any inmate and/or staff that has not been vaccinated for COVID-19 consider obtaining the same. According to CDC guidelines, the possibility of obtaining COVID-19 is greatly increased for those individuals who do not obtain the vaccination.
