No-Till Drill Program Assistant
Perry County Conservation District is seeking a part time No-Till Drill Program Assistant. This position is responsible for delivering No-Till Drills rented through the District No-Till drill rental program, performing routine inspections and basic maintenance on No-Till Drill Program equipment.
Primary duties include:
- Deliver and pick up the Conservation District’s No-Till drills to farms throughout Perry County using the District’s Pick-up truck.
- 2. Conduct routine inspections on the District’s No-Till Drill Program equipment and notify the Ag
Resource Specialist of needed repairs or operational issues with equipment.
- Perform basic maintenance on the No-Till Drill Program equipment.
Successful candidate MUST possess:
- Mechanical aptitude, strong organizational and communication skills.
- PA driver’s license, a clean driving record, and have towing experience with a Pick-up truck.
- Availability to work a flexible schedule of up to 20 hours a week.
Experience in the following is desired, but not required:
- A minimum of one year of farming and farm equipment use.
- A working knowledge of natural resource conservation Best Management Practices.
- A knowledge of Perry County roads and ability to plan efficient routes for towing.
Compensation includes a starting salary of $15.61/hour and a positive working environment with flexible hours.
