911 Center – Telecommunicators and Telecommunicator Trainees

Perry County is accepting applications for Full Time Telecommunicators and Telecommunicator Trainees in the 911 Center.

Primary duties include of a Telecommunicator include:

• Answer emergency and non-emergency calls
• Dispatch emergency response personnel
• Perform Pennsylvania Emergency Incident Reporting System reporting and disseminating weather watches and warnings
• Enter, update, and retrieve information using a computer-aided dispatch system Utilize CLEAN and NCIC to perform checks

Successful candidate must possess:

• High school diploma/GED
• Complete the requirements of a 911 telecommunicator trainee

Telecommunicator compensation includes a starting salary of $17.87/hour.  Perry County employment offers a comprehensive benefit package that includes generous time off, a County retirement plan, and medical, dental, and vision insurance after a 90-day probationary period.  The position is part of a twelve-hour work schedule and multiple positions are available.
