Perry County is accepting applications for a Full Time Deputy and a Part Time Deputy in the Sheriff’s Office. These positions are responsible to maintain security in the Courtroom, as well as all other County buildings.
Primary duties include:
- Perform courtroom and county building security
- Transport inmates
- Serve civil papers including writs complaints, court orders, protection from abuse orders etc.
- Serve warrants
- Prepare paperwork for service and sheriff sales
- Prepare and issue license to carry and license to sell permits
Qualifications
- High School Graduate, or equivalent
- Valid PA Driver’s License
- Must be 21 years of age
Act 2 or Act 120 training and/or law enforcement experience is preferred.
Compensation includes a starting salary of $21.36/hour, with consideration for relevant experience.
