Civil Process

Goal

The Perry County Sheriff’s Office Civil Process Division is responsible for the service and enforcement of writs of summons, writ of executions, complaints, service of subpoenas, and other court orders within Perry County in a timely and efficient manner.

Advance Fees for Service

• Real Estate Executions: 2,500.00
• Personal Property Execution: $300.00
• Bank Garnishment only: 100.00
• Civil Complaint/Writ of Summons: 150.00
• (1-3 defendants-if more than 3 defendants, please call our office for deposit figure)

General Service

The following deposit fees and documents are required for service:

All services require a letter of instruction for who, where, and manner of service.

$150.00 Deposit fee for Complaints, Summons, Ejectments, Orders, Writ of Possession, Notice of Intent to Attach Wages, etc

Out Of County Service

*Services requiring deputized service for another county in PA, plaintiff must contact the Sheriff’s Office in that jurisdiction for their required deposit fee. You are to forward the deposit fees and documents to our office for processing. No service form is required, a cover letter is sufficient.

Documents required for a Writ of Execution/Personal Property (with or without Garnishee);

1. $300.00 Deposit fee
2. Writ for Sheriff
3. (2) Writ(s) for each Defendant
4. Writ for each Garnishee including Interrogatories
5. Waiver of Watchman
6. Praecipe

Documents required for a Writ of Execution/ Bank Garnishment Only:

1. $100.00 Deposit fee
2. Writ for Sheriff
3. (2) Writ(s) for each Defendant
4. Writ for each Garnishee including Interrogatories
